Zac is a Senior Associate within McCabe Curwood’s casualty team. He has experience handling claims across different lines of business, including public liability, property damage, professional indemnity and subrogated recoveries. Zac has worked for all major Australian insurers and some overseas insurers.
Having a mixed practice has enabled Zac to engage in a wide range of insurance issues, including indemnity/policy coverage, Insurance Contract Act provisions and remedies, proportionate liability, enforcement steps, contractual interpretation, apportionment of liability between tortfeasors and the interplay of the NSW compensation schemes, workers compensation, public liability, CTP and the common law.
Whilst Zac predominately practices in NSW, he also has experience in handling claims interstate, including in QLD, WA, ACT and VIC. Zac has managed claims in the Local, District, Supreme and Court of Appeal jurisdictions.
Zac has been involved with the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee for many years, participating in and coordinating many of the pro-bono and charity initiatives, such as Matthew Talbot Hostel, Cantoo and Young Care.
