Laura D Alessandri
Laura specialises in the defence of personal injury claims.
Laura’s experience includes CTP insurance, specialising in claims involving procedural issues such as nominal defendant claims, late claims and claims involving s 151Z recovery actions brought by workers’ compensation insurers.
Laura commenced her career with Allianz, one of the largest CTP insurers before practising in a regional location. With this background she brings her unique insight and expertise to the CTP team. Having access to all five NSW CTP insurers has helped Laura to understand the market and in particular, the aspects of claims management which is key to her clients.
As a keen litigator she has also worked in public liability and recoveries.
Laura has a huge passion for community initiatives. She was recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow for her contribution to engaging younger people in community service and is a member of Darling Harbour Rotary.
In 2014, Laura was recognised in the Australasian Lawyer – Fifty Rising Stars, which features lawyers under the age of 30 who are making a name for themselves in the Australian legal market.
In 2015, Laura was a finalist in the Lawyer’s Weekly 30 under 30 and in 2016 she became an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury.
