Jess completed her Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce degrees at the University of Wollongong and the University of Texas at Dallas and was admitted into practice in 2012.
Since being admitted, Jess has practiced in the areas of Employment law, Labour law, Industrial Relations, Work Health and Safety, Commercial Disputes, Personal Injury litigation and Workers Compensation.
In 2014, Jess was selected to participate a pro bono project conducted by PIAC (Public Interest Advocacy Centre) to promote human rights and accountability for breaches of international law. To complete the work she attended the Evidence, Interviews and Witnesses in Internal Investigations course conducted by the President of the Institute for International Criminal Investigations, The Hague.
From 2015 to 2017, Jess gained international experience in dispute resolution and litigation in London, working on high-profile disputes and litigation matters in the public sector.
At McCabe Curwood, Jess works with clients on complex workers compensation, motor vehicle insurance, common law work injury damages claims and recovery. Jess takes pride in building and maintaining client relationships and appreciates the importance of successfully resolving claims at an early stage. Jess understands the importance of communication with her clients and opposing solicitors and takes pride in her ability to be proactive in order to efficiently achieve commercial resolutions.
