Dylan joined McCabe Curwood in 2016 and has been an Associate in the firm’s Private Clients practice group since 2018.
He advises individuals and families in relation to a broad range of private law issues but specialises in the area of trusts and estates. He is currently working towards a Master of Laws (Applied Law) with a specialisation in Wills & Estates, which he expects to complete in 2021.
Dylan’s expertise includes developing and implementing estate and succession planning structures for clients, usually in consultation with other trusted advisors such as financial planners and accountants. He understands that proper estate planning often requires more than a simple will and he regularly advises clients in relation to how to ensure that assets held through superannuation, corporate entities and trusts can be passed as intended.
Dylan also regularly advises clients in relation to the administration of deceased estates as well as implementing appropriate asset protection strategies and structures. He is experienced in working to resolve estate and trust disputes, including disputes about the validity of wills and claims by estate beneficiaries that they have not been adequately provided for.
