Brian is a knowledgeable insurance practitioner who advises major insurance clients on matters including litigated claims, non-litigated claims, complicated indemnity matters, commercially sensitive matters, claims handling and claims resolution strategies.
Brian has experience in a broad range of subject matters as diverse as, for example, residential and commercial building works, infrastructure works, fire including arson, major gas explosions, defective marine structures, toxic stock feed, roofing insulation, commercial plant and machinery, fraud, building materials and home contents, and recoveries. He also possesses a detailed knowledge of motor vehicles and marine craft, including from a mechanical point of view.
Brian’s experience extends to the conduct of small to large scale settlement conferences to resolve claims prior to litigation and during the course of litigation. He thinks ‘outside the box’ to achieve positive, expeditious and cost-effective outcomes for his clients.
Brian also prepares and conducts practical training workshops and seminars for insurance clients which are tailored to suit the specific needs of the clients and their management/claims staff.
